AHPRA # Med 0001649698

Philippa is a warm and friendly person who is passionate about the health and wellbeing of young people and their families. She enjoys working together with families to understand how to best support their young people to grow and develop to their full potential.

Philippa is originally from Wales and completed her medical training in the UK, before moving to Perth in 2007.

Although her main work as a doctor since 2009 has been within Psychiatry, she previously worked in many other areas of Medicine; also, at the Telethon Institute (2008) where she conducted research into neurodevelopmental conditions. As a result, she has a breadth of knowledge which informs her holistic approach to practice.

Since 2007 she has worked in most psychiatric settings across Perth. She has experience in hospital and outpatient settings, private and public sector work, and has expertise in the assessment and management of a range of mental health challenges faced by young people and families.

Outside of work, you might find Philippa using her creativity by cooking (and most enjoyably, eating!), playing or listening to music, doing arts and crafts with her daughters, or performing on stage with a local theatre group. She also loves swimming and Pilates… when she finds the time!
