As a psychologist with lived experience as a first responder, I have first-hand awareness of the issues and challenges that can occur when frequently exposed to critical incidents and organisational stressors. Due to my diverse training and experiences, I take a holistic approach to therapy, focusing on mind and body practices to support recovery and improve wellbeing.
I’ve worked as a psychologist since 1998 in public sector and private organisations and have experience with a wide range of psychological issues.
My training and skillset
I started my working life as a Police Officer and a Community Corrections Officer, and then trained as a psychologist. I have a Doctor of Psychology (Forensic), Bachelor of Psychology (Hons), Bachelor of Social Science in Police Studies, and a Graduate Certificate in Human Nutrition. I have general registration with AHPRA, I hold an endorsement as a Forensic Psychologist, and I am a Psychology Board approved supervisor. I am a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc. (AAPi). I am also an Accredited EMDR Practitioner and a qualified Yoga Teacher.My therapeutic approach
