I love finding out about the world around me and learning through other people’s experiences and perspectives. Helping people make the changes they need to live rich, meaningful lives is incredibly rewarding. I believe in evidence-based practice and that psychologists should only utilise methods and treatments that are solidly based on science.
I have over 23 years of experience in counselling and Psychology. I have deliberately worked over a broad range of industries to build varied expertise to be able to assist a wide range of people seeking my help, including drug and alcohol, workers compensation, disability and unemployment, government departments and private practice.
My training and skillset
My professional psychology education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Addiction Studies, a Bachelor of Psychology and completion of the 2-year practical registration program. I am a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc.My therapeutic approach
I welcome youth (16-25 years), adults and older adults, veterans and first responders and LGBTIQ+ people. I also welcome First Nations Australians and have trained to work with First Nations Australians, particularly Whadjuk Noongar people in whose land I work and live. I have trained in various modalities and work with my clients utilising therapeutic techniques including:- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
