Ros has been in private psychiatric practice since 2008. Prior to psychiatry training Ros worked in general practice for 13 years, and undertook psychotherapy training which led to the career change. She is an accredited supervisor for psychiatry registrars’ psychotherapy training.

Ros provides general adult psychiatric care, including comprehensive psychiatric assessment and management plans, and psychotherapeutic informed treatment for mood and anxiety disorders, including in older adults; stress and trauma related problems; ADHD. No medico-legal or inpatient work.

Through curiosity of “why here, now?” Ros aims to develop a shared understanding of each person’s life experiences and explore ways forward. Ros learnt Transcendental Meditation in the 1970s and gained knowledge in Ayurveda and mindfulness practices (yes, back in the 70s and 80s). Her current psychotherapy approach could be described as psychodynamic, informed by neurobiology, attachment theory and somatic psychotherapies.
